Holiday Looks

Hello everyone! First off I would like to apologize for the lack of blog posts. I have been a little busy with some new things happening in my life, which I will talk about on my next post.
Today I want to share two holiday inspired looks.  These looks are simple, but have a touch of holiday glam.
The first dress is from H&M.  I love the open detail on the back. I thought wearing leggings and booties would be perfect, since L.A has been on the chilly side. You can also dress it up with heels.
And of course, you need a fabulous faux fur coat to finish off the look.

The next look is a jumpsuit from one of my favorite stores Target. If you are looking to wear something other than the usual "party dress" this is for you.
I paired it with my favorite pair of gold heels and this fabulous faux fur coat.

Things to do at The Getty Museum

As moms we are always looking for fun weekend activities for the kids. I am fortunate to live in Los Angeles because we have many fun places that are baby friendly.  Today, I would like to share our trip to the The Getty Museum.

The museum is located on the Westside of Los Angeles and sits on a hill that overlooks the ocean and city.  It's an art museum that features great exhibits that vary from time to time.  It has amazing architecture and beautiful gardens to stroll through.

The highlight of our day was the fun "Family Room," which caters to kids.
It's a room with five activity centers that allow kids to learn and play.

The illuminated manuscript walls encourage kids to pick up the markers and become Picasso for the day.
One of the rooms had a 18th century bed to lay on and it included a variety of books to read.
The next room had long tubes for the kids to play with.  The tubes were placed inside the wall full of small holes. This room was perfect for playing peek-a-boo with my baby.

My favorite room was a  the room of mirrors.  The great thing about this room was that the mirrors were held up with magnets.  Noah loved removing one mirror, looking at himself, and then placing the mirror on another wall.  He repeated the process over and over.  It was cute!!! But the best part of this room was when another little boy entered the mirror room.  Watching them give mirrors to each other melted my heart.  The simple act of giving, sharing, caring, and being polite at such a young age is something we can all do a little more.

The museum has remarkable art pieces, but the city view was spectacular as well.  It's amazing to be able to be at such a beautiful museum and have the opportunity to look a the ocean and city skyline.  And of course, it's great for some selfie taking!

At the museum they have a restaurant where you can have lunch and a outside coffee bar!  You can also pack some snacks or lunch when you come here because they have a beautiful grass area.  Trust me, it just feels so right to do that because everyone seemed to be doing it.

Overall this place is great and very educational for your kiddos!

On November the 12th, 2016 The Getty will be having  a family festival from 10am-5pm.  They will be celebrating "The Alchemy of Color in Medieval times". Go to their website at www.getty.edu.com to learn more!

In the mean time enjoy some pictures of this fun family day.

A weekend in Paso Robles

This past weekend my honey and I were able to spend some time with great friends in Paso Robles, CA. Paso Robles is known for some great wineries and the Summer festivals.

The weekend consisted of great conversations, plenty of food, and wine of Course!
We were able to visit two great wineries, a farm, and awesome breweries!
Sculptera was the first winery we visited.  It is named Sculptera because of the owner’s love for art.  The grounds of the winery have beautiful sculptures that give this winery a majestic, modern, artistic feeling.  l just fell in love with the wine, the art, and live music.  I can’t wait to go again!!!
Next, we visited an awesome 80 acre family farm that is operated by two wonderful sisters.  At the farm we had some of their AMAZING apple slushy! Since we packed our lunch, we decided to sit on nice wooden bench under the trees and enjoy the scenery.

The adventure continued and the next stop was at “Sextant” winery. We were curious about the name "Sextant" and of course we had to stop. A "sextant" is an instrument used to determine latitude and longitude at sea! So, don't let anyone tell you that you can't drink and learn at the same time.

Last, we went to two breweries where we had some great beer and listened to an awesome band! I loved the country feel of this place. I loved the breweries dirt, benches, and cute lights that lid up at night!

I knew I had to pack this little number I wore when I was packing my clothes for my weekend getaway. I purchased it a few months back. It was one of those outfits you buy and wait for the perfect occasion to wear it. I love that you can dress it up with a pair of heels, but for this day I decided it would look just as great with my comfortable gold sandals.

Same skirt, different girl

The last time I wore this skirt was Sep.11, 2014. It is the same skirt in the closet, but now a different person is wearing it.

That different person is now a mother, entrepreneur, fearless, and just a better version of the old me.

Being a mother has taught me so much about myself. I have learned to be fearless and just live for today.  I'm not afraid to take chances as I was before. I've learned to believe in myself or no one else will. I need to be brave and courageous for my son and I!! I'm following my dreams and taking chances!  This is the new me.

It's unbelievable that a small little angel who doesn't even speak could bring all that out of me. "That" was always there inside of me and now its coming to the surface. All I needed was someone who was going to push me to work harder.  I didn't expect that my baby NOAH would be that someone.  I thank God for giving me the greatest gift! PROUD MAMA!!
P.S
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT! MY FUTURE POSTS WILL INCLUDE MORE FASHION AND LINK DETAILS. STAY TUNED
